Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA)

Korea Creative Content Agency aims at promoting the culture industry of South Korea and is on its way to achieving this goal.

Korea Creative Content Agency (hereafter KOCCA) was established on May 7, 2009 to efficiently support the growth of the cultural industry by combining Korea Broadcasting Institute, Korea Culture and Content Agency, Korea Game Industry Agency, Cultural Contents Center, and Digital Contents Business Group of Korea IT Industry Promotion Agency according to Article 31 of the Framework Act on Cultural Industry Promotion.

KOCCA is designed to integrate the core strength of the cultural fields, to promote the development of culture industry and to build a comprehensive supporting system so as to realize its great ideal of ranking among the top five global cultural countries.

KOCCA is actively developing various supporting industries, striving to be the world leading company to guide the economic creation of South Korea’s culture industry.

Firstly, KOCCA has actively formulated the relevant policies to revitalize the culture industry; and it also vigorously boosts talent cultivation so as to guarantee the strength of cornerstone creativity. In addition, it also renders great support to the professional CT technology research and development activities from culture planning to culture development and commercialization among other phases. In order to develop the culture industry into an export industry, KOCCA is promoting various relevant supporting undertakings for entering the international market. In addition, KOCCA is also engaged in assisting the digital broadcasting and video industry, consolidating the game circulation industry, expanding culture and entertainment creation materials and developing the digital entertainment industry and so on.

KOCCA takes the initiative to cope with the integration of the cultural environment. It also cultivates a comprehensive culture industry through selecting and concentrating strategies to lead the development of the world market.
