Jiang Feng explains Himalaya FM;

Ximalaya FM is the largest audio platform in China, and has more than 340 million mobile phone users, as well as 30 million automotive, wearable and audio smart equipment users. In the last three years, Ximalaya FM has become one of the fastest growing mobile Internet platform enterprises in China.
In terms of content, some 100,000 “v” verified broadcasters including Ma Dong, Wu Xiaobo, Luo Zhenyu, Guo Degang, Le Jia and Gong Linna as well as 4 million read-aloud enthusiasts have created more than 30 million pieces of audio content across 328 categories comprising finance and economics, music, news, business, novels, cars and other audio content. In-depth strategic partnerships have been formed with Cheers Publishing, Imaginist, Zhonghua Book Company, CS-Booky, Dookbook, China Reading, and almost every renowned offline and online publishing house, and these have established a presence in Ximalaya FM to co-produce high quality audio books, launching a new era in publishing audio reading in China. Media entities numbering some 200 including Sina, Forbes, China Business Network, The Paper and Life Week magazine, as well as 2000 brands such as Durex, L’Oréal, KFC and Alibaba have set up their companies’ channels on Ximalaya FM to broadcast their voices to audiences around the world, creating a unique ecology of “audio content” on China’s mobile Internet.
In terms of method, the paid audio program, Speak Properly (《好好说话》), created by Ma Dong’s Let’s Talk (《奇葩说》) team, was a big hit on Ximalaya FM, becoming the leader of a new method in paid audio spending. On December 3rd, “123 Knowledge Day”, pioneered by Ximalaya FM, realized sales revenue of more than RMB50 million for that day. In 2017, paid audio books such as In the Name of People, The Economic Naturalist & Microeconomics and Behaviors, Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion, Light of Civilization, and other top bestsellers were all released on Ximalaya FM, leading a new wave in audio reading.
In terms of channel, Ximalaya has in-depth cooperation with BMW, Ford, Cadillac and dozens of other automotive brands, creating innovative automotive entertainment methods. In addition, Ximalaya FM is also the strategic audio partner of choice of Apple, Samsung, Tencent, Alibaba, Baidu, Today’s Headlines, Jingdong Mall and hundreds of other top brands across various industries. Leveraging audio’s concomitant and exclusive nature, Ximalaya FM and its partners are in the process of building a new “audio reading” ecology for its users.
