Rupali became Managing Director at MetaDesign Berlin in September 2005. She was responsible for driving cross-media strategic branding for clients including Volkswagen, Munich RE, Siemens, RTL Media and Continental Truck Tires. In 2010 she moved to China, where she is responsible for the agency's Asian expansion plans and oversees key client relationships including Volkswagen Group China, Bosch, Zhejiang Daily Press Group, Shenzhen Maniform, Fisher & Paykel, and Haier. While working in the advertising industry in New York prior to that, she worked on campaigns for companies such as Citibank, Fleet Boston, AT&T, and Allstate Insurance. Rupali speaks regularly at conferences and is currently a guest lecturer at universities in Beijing (Tsinghua University and the Communication University of China) on cross-cultural communications and brand implementation strategies. Rupali studied in India and USA and graduated with honors majoring in political science, economics, public communications and film history.
